Why I Became a Professional Nurse Advocate

I spent more than 20 years at the bedside watching what happens when families are left to navigate healthcare alone.

Some patients had no one. Others had people who loved them deeply but were so overwhelmed with the situation and their other responsibilities (their kids, their jobs-the “sandwich generation”), they couldn’t keep up — chasing providers, tracking medications, sitting in waiting rooms trying to remember what the last doctor said. They were doing everything they could. It still wasn’t enough.

And then there were the patients who had someone in their corner. Someone who knew what questions to ask, what to watch for, and when something wasn’t right. Those patients had better outcomes. Fewer complications. Smoother recoveries. Someone with time and knowledge was connecting the dots — and it made all the difference.

I couldn’t unsee it.

That’s why I founded Call My Nurse Advocate, PLLC. Because the difference between those two experiences isn’t luck. It’s having experienced clinical eyes watching the whole picture.

That’s what I do now. For your family.
